Acne Studios grew out of a Stockholm creative collective. Its clothes and bags bring the same curiosity to familiar forms: a shifted seam, an exaggerated proportion or a knot where a buckle might be.

1996–1997

The studio
Under co-founder Jonny Johansson, the vocabulary expanded into tailoring, leather, knitwear and accessories. Art, photography and architecture remain recurring reference points.
The bags
The Musubi’s oversized knots and the Distortion’s angled construction translate that approach into leather goods. Their identity comes from the silhouette as much as the name on the bag.
