Where the money comes from.

Some of the links on The Monogram are affiliate links. When you click through to one of our partner retailers and complete a purchase, the retailer pays us a small commission — at no extra cost to you. Your price doesn't change.

This is how we keep the site running and pay our editors. It also has obvious risks — the temptation to favor commission-paying retailers over neutral ones. Here's how we handle that:

Our rules

  • Editorial decisions are made before commercial ones. We pick the bags we cover, the angles we take, and the alternatives we recommend without consulting our affiliate dashboard.
  • We surface every seller, not just affiliates. Every bag page lists brand-direct, authorized sellers, and resale platforms regardless of whether we earn commission on them.
  • Brand-direct links are always shown. Even when we earn nothing on a brand's own website (most luxury houses don't run public affiliate programs), we link to it first.
  • We never use affiliate-only data to rank dupes. Our similarity matcher uses image embeddings, text embeddings, and attribute data — never the commission rate.

Programs we participate in

This page is the canonical record of every affiliate relationship we hold. We are in the early stages of setting these up: as of June 2026 we are in the process of joining ShareASale (to partner with Fashionphile), and no program is fully active yet. We will list each network and merchant here as it goes live.

Brand affiliations

We are not affiliated with Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermès, Dior, Goyard, Gucci, Prada, Bottega Veneta, Celine, Loewe, Fendi, Valentino, Miu Miu, YSL, Balenciaga, or any other brand we catalogue. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.
