A 19th-century trunk shrunk to a clutch — Ghesquière’s 2015 debut.
The Petite Malle was the centrepiece of Nicolas Ghesquière’s first collection for the house (Spring 2015): a Louis Vuitton travel trunk, with its brass corners and S-lock, miniaturised into a rigid clutch.
It remains the collection’s most collectible modern silhouette, issued in a long run of canvases, leathers and artist editions.
